The goal of the investigation is to perform a detailed review of the problem, and to propose adequate Corrective and Preventive Actions that both addresses the immediate issue, as well as identifying and implementing the changes necessary to prevent recurrence.
Ultimately a Root Cause Investigation Report is issued to document the results and conclusions of the investigation.
